Ghost and Ghouls Tour

Date:  15 Sep 2011
Time:  18:00
Location:  Smithfields, 65 West Smithfields, London
Cost: £0.00

The tour is a Ghost and Ghoulish tour, by a blue badge lady who has a tremendous reputation – Katreya Sommerville has been giving tours since 2005 to all groups and she will be guiding us around Smithfields Market which has London’s oldest hospital, public executions, rebellion, celebrations, John Betjeman and more – Smithfield has seen it all. Now famous for its wholesale meat market (where traders sell to personal shoppers in the wee small hours); its Norman church which featured in Shakespeare in Love; and its memorial to William Wallace who was hanged, drawn and quartered there – a walk around Smithfield is still an endless surprise.

After the tour, we will go on to a local hostelry: The Distillers

Tickets: £10
